Real Estate Economic Research Institute
Real Estate Economic Research Institute Founded in 1995, the Real Estate Economic Research Institute is a soft science institute of the Shanghai Real Estate Science Research Institute, as well as one of the professional research ones concerning the real estate sector in Shanghai. It mainly occupies research and consultation of real estate market, land management, guaranteed housing for lower-income families, realty management, and is possessed of functions of academic research, information transmission, dynamic monitoring and advisory services. The institute is bestowed with a learned and experienced research group, led by professors and made up of several doctors, masters and senior engineers. It consists of research divisions of land economy, real estate economy and information (includes policies and statutes) etc. (illustrated by the following chart) Under the concern and guidance of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Housing, Land and Resources Administration, Shanghai Real Estate Economic Society, and Shanghai Land Society, it has fulfilled 18 key research projects of the departments concerned of Shanghai municipality and Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Housing, Land and Resources Administration, and was awarded the second prize by the Ministry of Construction for its advance of science and technology; the third prize of Shanghai governmental decision-making and consultation, as well as the advance of science and technology prize of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Housing, Land and Resources Administration. Some research achievements have been provided to government departments with reference frame, which include: The study on Shanghai Housing Allocation and Supply System, The Study on Shanghai Real Estate Market Information System, The Study on State-owned Land Use System Reform in Shanghai, The Study on Shanghai Suburb Town land Use Planning, The Feasibility Study of Establishing “Shanghai Residential Realty Management CSI Index evaluation System ”, The Comprehensive Study of Side Banks Land Development of Suzhou Creek, The Comprehensive Study of Side Banks Land Development of Huangpu River。Based on its studies, it published books as Introduction of Realty Management, Guide Book of Realty Management operation, Theory and Practice of Realty Management, and Guide Book for Home Owners,. It offers consultation services to realty enterprises, holds symposiums, training courses, lectures, etc. It keeps close relationship with the government, the realty industry, and realty institutes, and functions as a professional research institute, and offers the research reference to the government and customers.
