Building Engineering Technologies Research Institute Building Engineering Technologies Research Institute
The Building Engineering Technologies Research Institute, founded in 2003, is a building engineering technology research institute subsidiary to Shanghai Real Estate Science Research Institute. It mainly engages in housing industrialization, the existing building energy conservation, new building materials, building performance evaluation, protected buildings preservation as well as the research and development of relevant standards.
The institute is bestowed with a learned and experienced research group, led by professors and consisted of several doctors, masters and senior engineers who are in rich experiences and research capability. The institute consists of research divisions of building safety, building performance evaluation, building preservation, housing industrialization, and central laboratory, building energy saving evaluation institute (illustrated by the following chart).
Since it founded in 2003, it has made great achievements in the research of building detection technology, the energy saving techniques of existing buildings and new materials research and development for energy saving, building protection and repairing techniques of preserved buildings. Among which “The 193 polyurethane colorful waterproof and isolation System” won the second prize of science and technology advance in Shanghai, gained the state patent of utility model. “The Study on infrared thermal image detection technique for damage of façade tiles’ lining” was awarded the third prize of science and technology advance in Shanghai. Other achievements reached the levels of globe advance or domestic leading.
Besides, the Building Engineering Technologies Research Institute focuses on and grasps the keys and dynamic development of the industry, it participated the edition and draft of several national and local standards as predominant organizer.
By this way, it puts the achievements into the market and has rewarded with economic and social benefits.
The Building Engineering Technologies Research Institute should emphasize scientific research, make efforts to conquer difficulties, and make new ground independently in its further development. Facing the market, it needs to enter a virtuous circle where scientific achievements’ transform accelerates the development of research works.
